Shannon Wohlford joins the Blue Zones Project Corry team as Engagement Lead. Shannon brings to the team more than 15 years of nonprofit experience including fundraising, marketing, event planning, volunteer coordination, grant writing, public relations and communications work. Shannon is mission driven and connects most with projects that are impactful and sustainable, that’s what attracted her to the Blue Zones Project. With a natural enthusiasm and energy to motivate and encourage others, Shannon has utilized these gifts in many leadership roles throughout her career.

Prior to Blue Zones, she worked as Director of Resource Development for the Achievement Center and most recently the Associate Director of Development and Marketing for the Sight Center. Her involvement in the community over the years has included serving as a Girl Scout Leader, PTO President, board member of the Public Relations Society of America NWPA Chapter, member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and member of the Kiwanis Club of Erie.

Shannon grew up in Virginia, but has made Erie, Pennsylvania her home for the last 27 years. She moved to PA with her husband Greg, where they share a home with three children and a menagerie of animals.
